The Beginning
April 2017, I picked up my dad's old camera, a Canon EOS 600D with an EF 300mm f/4 L, and we headed out for an early hide session... This is where the story begins!
April 4, 2017, 7:12 AM, I took the photo above. It is noisy, sure, but it deeply resonated with me. The Kingfisher became, and still is, my favorite bird.
Then the desire to capture the kingfisher in action grew, but nothing convincing yet:
That being said... The more hide sessions we did, the more opportunities showed up!
Then came 2018, which gifted me this beautiful dance over two consecutive mornings!
And finally, portraits worthy of the name...
And yet, it never stops amazing me, whether through its lightness...
Its poses...
Its skills...
And its reflexes!!
